Ancient Egyptian Astrology: Cultural Synthesis and Cosmological Order
We explore ancient Kemetic concepts including their calendar system, the nature of the spirit in the Duat with its seven levels, and the symbolic meaning of Neteru (gods/goddesses). We examine the planetary and seasonal cycles as understood in Kemet, connecting them to energies and the Kemetic months, which are derived from their astronomical knowledge. Furthermore, we touch upon the duality of the brain and body, and make connections between Kemetic thought and other ancient cultures like Greece and the Yoruba, as well as modern scientific concepts such as genetics and the human genome.
